Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Putin would go to China to attend the Shanghai (Shanghai Cooperation Organization/SCO) high -level conference and the 80th anniversary of World War ends.
Besides Putin, US President Donald Trump also claimed to have received an invitation to the country led by Xi Jinping.
“You have to ask my colleague [Spokesperson for White House Karoline Leavitt] about Trump’s plan. It is known that Putin plans to visit China,” Peskov said during a press conference today, Wednesday (8/27), quoted by Tass.
Peskov then said, “We are preparing for this visit. The President is also preparing for a visit.”
Such Peskov’s comments also did not answer the assumption that China was likely to host Trump-Putin’s continued meeting after Alaska, United States.
“Regarding our contact with America, we continue through known paths,” he said.
Furthermore, the Kremlin spokesman said Russia and China established high -level contact in order to prepare for the meeting of the two heads of state.
Putin is scheduled to visit China on August 31 to September 3.CSO Summit will be held on August 31 to September 1 in Tianjin.
