Awhin Sanjaya
, died after an accident in the 2025 Sumatra Cup Prix Grand Final at Zabaq National Sirquit, East Tanjungjabung, Jambi, Sunday (14/12).
“This incident actually occurred during the final motorbike race at the Zabag circuit at the 2025 Sumatra Cup Prix event,” said East Tanjungjabung Police Chief AKBP Wijaksono as quoted by Antara.
After the incident and Awhin was declared dead, the competition committee took the victim to the Abdul Manap General Hospital in Jambi City and will be sent to his home area.

The police report stated that the incident occurred at around 17.00 WIB at the Zabaq National Circuit, during the 2025 Sumatra Cup Prix Grand Final which was competing for the East Tanjung Jabung Regent’s Cup.
The 27 year old rider had a fatal accident.Awhin is suspected of having suffered a hard blow to the head which resulted in bleeding.The medical team provided assistance, but Awhin could not be saved.
East Tanjung Jabung Police immediately took the initiative to open an investigation.Further steps were taken to find out the exact cause of the accident.
Awhin is a racer who was born in Masamba, South Sulawesi, February 22 1998. He is a member of the PPJ74 Racing Team.Condolences poured in for Awhin.
Ewhin’s body was immediately departed from Jambi to South Sulawesi by plane, Monday 15 December 2025 at 06.00 WIB.The funeral process is left to the family.
