He said the two things caused the modulation of rain to come from the mountain and sea, which eventually had the potential to worsen the intensity of rain in Jakarta.
According to Erma the formation of the rainy system in the Java Sea does not only have an impact on the western part of Java, but will extend to Central and Eastern Java.
“The impact of the formation of a rainy system in the Java Sea is not even only for western Java but also Central and East Java,” he said.
In addition to convergence, said Erma, the Java Sea can also produce a vortex of the Mesovortex storm which during the second dasarian is experiencing a preconditional phase to form at the end of the second dasarian August.
“Mesovortex now exists in the Java Sea weakened to strengthen, but he exists because there is a convergence system or the wind meeting area formed in the Java Sea now. And later the peak will be on the 19th or end of the 2nd Dasarian August Mesovortex will be large,” he explained.
Climate change
Erma says the climate anomalies that are currently happening are not due to La Nina or negative dipole.He highlighted the absence of anomalies in the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean, the two most influential oceans to modulate and create global climate anomalies.
The cause of climate anomalies that occur in Indonesia, he said, is a warm ocean caused by climate change.
