Raul Fernandez
officially withdrew from the remainder of the race
MotoGP Portugal 2025
, following a terrible accident in Friday’s practice session (7/11).
The Spanish racer had a sudden accident at Turn 1 during FP1.As a result, Fernandez had to be rushed to hospital to undergo an examination.
Although no serious injuries were found, Raul Fernandez later revealed that he had suffered a dislocated shoulder as a result of the accident.

Fernandez said he felt something strange on his bike and had to jump.The effect was that Fernandez’s shoulder hurt.
“One of the biggest accidents I have ever experienced,” said Fernandez, who previously won the 2025 Australian MotoGP.
Fernandez actually tried to take part in the FP2 MotoGP session in Portugal on a wet track on Saturday and was in eighth place after completing six laps.
However, he did not return to the circuit for the first half of qualifying.Initially the decision was made to save energy ahead of this weekend’s race.
Later the Trackhouse team confirmed that Fernandez had withdrawn from the remainder of the weekend’s races, including Saturday’s sprint race and Sunday’s race.
“Trackhouse MotoGP Team’s No. 25 rider, Raul Fernandez, has withdrawn from the Portuguese Grand Prix,” the team said in a statement.
“After the heavy impact he suffered during the crash at Turn 1 in Free Practice 1 on Friday, the discomfort in his left shoulder was very pronounced so this decision was taken with Raul’s welfare and safety in mind.”
Trackhouse also said Fernandez would begin treatment to be fit for the final round of the championship in Valencia during the week.
