Reno’s family representative, Dani Aji, thanked the police for paying attention to finding the whereabouts of Reno and Farhan, who had been missing for two months.
“I represent Reno’s family and fellow victims’ families. First of all, I would like to express my thanks to Polda Metro Jaya and Polres East Jakarta, Polres Central Jakarta, and Kapolda East Java for their attention in dealing with the loss of our family, Reno and Farhan,” said Aji at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta, Friday (7/11).

Aji could not yet convey the next steps that the family might take after hearing today’s press conference.He said the family was still in mourning.
“For our statement regarding the follow-up to this, we still want to discuss with the family first regarding whatever steps we take, especially since we are still in a state of mourning, still in shock, we don’t know what to do next, especially with Reno’s family, he lives in Surabaya, whether he will be buried in Jakarta or Surabaya, we want to discuss it first,” he said.
Meanwhile, Adin, who represents Farhan’s family, asked for prayers from the public regarding the compatibility of the human skeleton with Farhan’s, as recently stated by the National Police Hospital and Polda Metro Jaya.
“We ask for prayers for what will happen in the future. Hopefully our two families will continue to live well. We wish the best for our family. Let us get through this grief because the journey is very long, we were in limbo for 2 months, and the end result turned out to be a skeleton. It’s painful,” he said.
“I am grateful to each of our own families, especially to the parents of both parties, who have survived for the past two months, even though they are sick, even though they are in pain, but they have persisted in continuing their lives. Hopefully the prayers that our families have said will be answered. What has been dark can become light,” he said.
The police announced the results of DNA tests on two human skeletons found at the Administration Office, Floor 2 of the ACC Building, Kwitang, Central Jakarta, on Friday (7/11).
As a result, DNA tests on the two skeletons were identical to Reno Syahputra Dewo and Muhammad Farhan Hamid.Reno and Farhan are two victims who were declared missing following the wave of demonstrations at the end of last August.
“The postmortem number 0080 matches the postmortem number 002 so it is identified as Reno Syahputeradewo, the biological child of Mr Muhammad Yasin,” said Karo Labdokkes Polri Brigadier General Sumy Hastry Purwanti at a press conference at the Police Hospital.
“The postmortem number 0081 matches the postmortem number 001 so it is identified as Muhammad Farhan Hamid, the biological son of Mr. Hamidi,” he continued.
This, he said, was based on the results of primary identification of teeth and bones.Then it is also matched with antemortem or health data before death.
On the same occasion, Head of the Kramat Jati National Police Hospital (Karumkit) Brigadier General Prima Heru Yulihartono said the two human skeletons arrived at his place for examination on October 30.
