In addition to Best Feature Film, Pangku won Best Female Supporting Actor for Christine Hakim, Best Original Screenwriter for Reza and Felix K Nesi, and Best Artistic Direction for Eros Eflin.
“My mother was at home, watching. My mother said, Mama’s prayers are with you,” said Reza, who shed tears in his victory speech.
“For me, this film is a form of gratitude to the great women out there who continue to struggle despite existing limitations,” he continued.
This film focuses on Sartika’s struggle in raising her only child, Bayu, alone in a marginalized community on the north coast of Java.
“And again, for the little Bayu-Bayu out there, and for the policy makers, I hope you are the ones who will no longer limit them from continuing to go to school and getting the right to education,” said Reza Rahadian.
Pangku’s victory at the highest Indonesian film event added to the film’s trophy collection.Pangku previously managed to dominate the Vision Awards at the 2025 Busan International Film Festival.
Reza Rahadian’s debut film won four trophies, the most in the program.
The drama film with the international title On Your Lap won the KB Vision Audience Award, Fipresci Award, Central Asia Cinema Award and Face of the Future Award.

These four trophies made Pangku the film with the most awards at the Vision Award this year.Pangku surpassed the achievements of Shape of Momo, an Indian film which won two categories, namely the Songwon Vision Award and the Taipei Film Commission Award.
Pangku is Reza Rahadian’s directorial debut through a production house called Motion Pictures.The film stars Claresta Taufan, Christine Hakim, Fedi Nuril, Devano Danendra, and Shakeel Fauzi.
Pangku tells the story of a young woman named Sartika (Claresta Taufan) who is pregnant.He left his hometown in the hope of providing a better life for his child.
The trip brings Sartika together with Mrs. Maya (Christine Hakim), a coffee shop owner who is known for being helpful.Mrs. Maya also helped Sartika until she gave birth.
However, he apparently hid another intention behind his sincerity.Sartika is trapped by Mrs. Maya to work as a waitress at the Pangku coffee shop.
