Central Statistics Agency (
BPS
) reported that Indonesia experienced
inflation
0.17 percent monthly, aka month to month (mtm) in November 2025.
“In November 2025, there will be inflation of 0.17 percent on a monthly basis or an increase in the consumer price index (CPI) from 109.04 in October 2025 to 109.22 in November 2025,” said BPS Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics Pudji Ismartini at the BPS Press Conference, Monday (1/12).
He noted that inflation also occurs annually, aka
year on year
(yoy) of 2.72 percent.Likewise for calendar years or
year to date
(ytd) which experienced inflation of 2.27 percent.

The largest expenditure group contributing to monthly inflation is personal care and other services with inflation of 1.21 percent.The inflation share of this group touched 0.09 percent.
“The dominant commodity that drives inflation in this group is gold jewelry which contributes to inflation of 0.08 percent,” explained Pudji.
“Other commodities that also contribute to inflation are air transportation rates with an inflation contribution of 0.04 percent; shallots with an inflation contribution of 0.03 percent; fresh fish with an inflation contribution of 0.02 percent; and carrots with an inflation contribution of 0.02 percent,” he added.
He said 28 provinces experienced monthly inflation, of which the highest was Papua at 1.69 percent.Meanwhile, 10 provinces experienced deflation with the deepest being Aceh at 0.67 percent.
On the other hand, BPS recorded inflation of 2.72 percent on an annual basis, mainly driven by the food, beverage and tobacco groups.Inflation reached 4.25 percent with a share of 1.22 percent.
“The commodity that contributed the most to inflation in this group was red chilies. Another commodity outside the food, beverage and tobacco group that also contributed dominantly to inflation was gold jewelry,” he concluded.
