Rizky Ridho was selected to be nominated for the 2025 Puskas Award through the long-range goal he scored in the Persija Jakarta vs Arema FC match.He didn’t expect this either.
Rizky Ridho openly admitted that the moment he was nominated for the Puskas Award was far beyond his expectations.He also thanked all parties at Persija and emphasized that the goal was born due to teamwork.
“Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to be nominated for the Puskás Award. Honestly, I never imagined that the goal would go this far.”

“I would like to thank my teammates, coaching team, officials and all of Jakmania who always support me. The goal was born because of teamwork, not just individual action. Hopefully this can be a motivation for all of us to continue to fight better,” said Rizky Ridho as quoted from Persija’s release.
Mohamad Prapanca as the Main Director of Persija also praised Rizky Ridho’s success in being nominated for the Puskas Award.He hopes that Rizky Ridho’s success will be a motivation for many other players.
“Ridho shows that dreams never know boundaries. Goals are a reflection of hard work, discipline and the courage to try things that seem impossible,” said Prapanca.
The Puskas Award is an award from FIFA for the best goal in each year.The process for selecting the best goal will take place from Friday (14/11) to 9 December 2025.Rizky Ridho will compete with 10 other nominees including Lamine Yamal and Declan Rice.
Before being nominated for the Puskas Award, Rizky Ridho’s goal was named the best goal in League 1 last season.
