The success of the Indonesian rock climbing team won four gold medals in two days of implementation
SEA Games 2025
is proof of the great potential of young seeds.
This was conveyed by the General Chairman of the Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (FPTI) Zannunba Ariffah Chafsoh in response to the success of his athletes in bagging four gold medals at the 2025 SEA Games in the men’s lead, women’s lead, men’s speed and women’s speed events.
“This success also shows the great potential we have, because there are still many other talented young rock climbing athletes throughout Indonesia who are ready to show off,” said the figure who is familiarly called Yenny Wahid after watching the actions of Indonesian speed athletes at the Rajamangala Complex, Bangkok, Saturday, as reported by Antara.

Yenny witnessed Ardana Cikal Damarwulan and Alma Ariella Tsany win gold medals in the men’s and women’s lead numbers respectively on Friday (12/12).
Then on Saturday, Yenny was presented with two All-Indonesian Finals in the men’s and women’s speed numbers.Antasyafi Robby Al Hilmi ended up with the men’s speed gold medal, while the women’s sector belonged to Puja Lestari.
Overall, over two days the Indonesian rock climbing contingent has collected eight 2025 SEA Games medals in the form of four gold, three silver and
one bronze.
Yenny believes that the achievements of these two days are the result of ongoing coaching carried out comprehensively by FPTI, starting from the national training camp level down to the regions.
Yenny should be proud if she looks at the fact that three of the four Indonesian rock climbing athletes who won gold at the 2025 SEA Games are not even 20 years old.
Cikal is still 15 years old, Alma is 16 years old, and Robby is 18 years old.Puja, who is 22 years old, is listed as the only 2025 SEA Games rock climbing gold winner over the age of 20.
In fact, Robby was quite calm when facing senior athlete Alfian M. Fajri in the final of the men’s speed event.
Yenny looks to the future, in two years the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics will be held and she believes that the achievements at the SEA Games this time could be the seeds that will bloom into achievements in the United States later.
“This is very valuable capital in preparation for pursuing the target of the 2028 LA Olympics. We are optimistic that with the strength of young athletes and positive results this can support the achievement of this target,” he said.
The Indonesian contingent still has the opportunity to add to its collection of rock climbing medals at the 2025 SEA Games which will still hold men’s and women’s bouldering competitions on Sunday (14/12).
Rizky Aditya, who is still 17 years old, will compete with his seniors Bomantara Bintang Prayuda (18) and Mohammad Ferza Fernanda Abdi (22) in the men’s bouldering event.
Meanwhile, 15 year old athlete Mayra Azalia Nabila will also compete with Nur Simatul Sakdia (21) and Nur Khalishah to compete for a medal in the women’s bouldering event.
