The majority of Asian currencies strengthened.The Philippine peso rose 0.23 percent, the Japanese yen rose 0.09 percent, the South Korean won plus 0.13 percent, and the Thai baht plus 0.08 percent.
Likewise, the main currencies of developed countries varied.The European euro was plus 0.06 percent, the Swiss franc was plus 0.11 percent, the Australian dollar was up 0.05 percent, and the Canadian dollar was minus 0.01 percent.

Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said that despite weakening, the rupiah could still consolidate against the US dollar with limited potential for strengthening in the absence of important economic data.
“The US dollar index itself is still under pressure regarding the prospect of a new Fed head and interest rate cuts,” he said
