The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (

), warning that the world is in a dangerous condition and is potentially headed
World War III
.
This was conveyed by SBY in a scientific oration at the commemoration of the 65th Anniversary of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya, East Java, Tuesday (11/11).

peace and security

SBY assesses that the current global situation is characterized by extreme nationalism and unilateral actions from large countries.He said the rivalry between the United States, China and Russia had created new tensions in various regions of the world.
“Geopolitics of

“In the past the Second World War was just two bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Now it’s thousands of warheads. What is the fate of our earth?” he added.
According to SBY, the weakening of global cooperation and the increasing egoism of large countries is worsening international stability.He believes that the world is experiencing a setback in multilateral and regional collaboration.

However, SBY still believes that world war can be prevented.He also called on world leaders to prioritize diplomacy and cooperation again, not confrontation.
“But I am among those who [believe] a very scary third world war can still be prevented.
