SEA Games 2025
with a 5-1 victory over Myanmar at the Nonthaburi Sports Complex Gymnasium, Monday (15/12) afternoon.
The Garuda Lima squad was not accompanied by coach Hector Souto who was not fit enough, so he was replaced by assistant coach Muhammad Amril Daulay.
Ahmad Habibie, Muhammad Rizki Xavier, Muhammad Iqbal Rahmatullah, Israr Megantara, and Syauqi Saud were the starters.

The match had only been running for two minutes, Israr had already found the back of the Myanmar goal.Syauqi’s kick-in became an assist for Israr’s goal.
Captain Iqbal then scored a quick goal.Taking advantage of the Myanmar goalkeeper who came forward and was late coming down, Habibie threw the ball and Iqbal finished well.The score became 2-0 in the seventh minute.
Only one minute later Iqbal scored the ball again and made it 3-0.
Indonesia was careless in carrying out attacks so that Habibie’s goal was broken through by Min Khant Thu in the 10th minute.
After that, the Indonesian National Team repeatedly had opportunities through Firman Adrinasyah, Evan Soumilena, Wendy Brian Ick, and Syauqi Saud who still failed to change the score.
Only in the second minute of the second half did Indonesia add a goal.Rizki Xavier completed Firman Adriansyah’s pass so the score changed to 4-1.
The Red and White Team repeatedly tried to score the fifth goal, but Myanmar goalkeeper Mai Soe Myat Htwe was repeatedly able to block, including thwarting Evan’s chance at the goal line.
After being attacked repeatedly, Myanmar tried to find a return goal by playing a power play scheme.
The Indonesian players defended well and even scored a goal in the final seconds of the match through Syauqi who maximized Reza Gunawan’s pass.
The score 5-1 was the final result.With this victory, Indonesia is at the top of the 2025 SEA Games futsal standings which uses a round robin system.
