in Seoul on Wednesday (10/12) after a number of fighter jets from the two countries approached the Ginseng Country’s defensive airspace (ADIZ) recently.
Director General of the International Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Defense, Lee Lwang Suk, said that South Korea had submitted a protest to the defense attachés of the Chinese and Russian Embassies in Seoul.He also warned that he would take firm action.

“Our military will continue to respond actively to the activities of neighboring countries’ fighter jets entering the ADIZ in accordance with international law,” said Lee, quoted by AFP.
South Korea was also furious and deployed fighter jets to prevent the activities of Chinese-Russian fighter jets near their ADIZ.
An air defense area zone is an area where aircraft are supposed to identify themselves when approaching.
Responding to South Korea’s actions and protests, China called the activities of their and Russia’s fighter jets part of routine annual military exercises.
Actually, this is not the first time something like this has happened.In November last year, South Korea also detected five Chinese and six Russian fighter jets.
Other incidents occurred in June and December 2023 and in May and November 2022.
This flight adds to simmering regional tensions caused by disputes between China and Japan.
Japan previously accused Chinese fighter jets of directing fire control radars at Sakura Country troop planes.
The dispute occurred when relations between the two countries flared up due to statements by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
Takaichi said an armed attack on Taiwan could be the basis for Japan to deploy troops as part of the concept of collective defense.
Beijing was furious and asked Takaichi to withdraw his words.However, the Japanese PM was reluctant.The conflict became increasingly heated and protracted.
In addition, the China-Russia fighter jet flight emerged after the United States released the White House National Security Strategy document.In the file they called on allied countries to increase defense budgets to suppress Chinese activities and defend Tawan.
