The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections recorded seven
prison
in
Aceh
experiencing flooding.
The seven prisons are Sigli Women’s Prison, Lhokseumawe Prison, Lhoksukon Prison, Langsa Prison, Langsa Narcotics Prison, Kuala Simpang Prison and Singkil Prison.
Meanwhile, five prisons cannot be accessed because bridges and roads are broken, namely Idi Prison, Bener Meriah Prison, Takengon Prison, Blangkejeren Prison, and Kutacane Prison which can only be accessed via Medan.

Director General of Corrections Mashudi said the most serious damage occurred at Kuala Simpang Prison.
“The impact of the damage is light to severe. Kuala Simpang Prison looks the worst, water and mud are still flooding so that office activities are still paralyzed,” he said when inspecting Kuala Simpang Prison, Saturday (6/12).
Mashudi said that the need for urgent infrastructure, such as emergency lights, food and drink equipment, water pumps, flashlights and steamers, is urgently needed at this time.
On the other hand, prison officers also experienced the impact of flooding and their houses were badly damaged.Because of this, Mashudi provided assistance to the affected officers.
“We are as optimal as possible fulfilling the needs that have been conveyed by the Minister of Immigration and Corrections for response and implementing quick steps, in addition to donations and material assistance support from all IMIPAS levels,” he said.
The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that the number of victims who died due to the flood-landslide disaster in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra increased on Sunday (7/12).
Based on data on the official website, the number of victims who died as a result of the disaster was 916 people, an increase of 2 people from data on Saturday (6/12) afternoon.Meanwhile, the number of missing people is 274 people.
BNPB also reported that as many as 4,200 people were injured as a result of the disaster.Then there were 1,300 public facilities damaged, 199 health facilities damaged and 697 educational facilities damaged.
