The Solo District Court (PN) decided to continue case number 211/Pdt.G/2025/PN Skt, related to the Citizen Lawsuit (CLS) case regarding the diploma of the seventh President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
This was stated in the interim decision which was carried out online, Tuesday (9/12).

“Judgment: Rejecting the exception of Defendant I, Defendant II, Defendant III and Co-Defendant regarding absolute authority; Declaring that the Surakarta District Court has the authority to examine and try this case; Ordering the Parties to the case to continue the examination of case Number 211/Pdt.G/2025/PN Skt; Suspending the determination of court costs in this interim decision until the final decision,” said Public Relations of the Solo District Court, Subagyo, at the time.contacted by media crew, Tuesday (9/12) as quoted from

With this interim decision, the trial process will continue to the case examination stage.
“Information on the next hearing will be on Tuesday 23 December 2025 at 10.00 WIB, with a hearing agenda for documentary evidence from the plaintiffs,” he said.
The case was filed by a duo of Gadjah Mada University (UGM) alumni, namely Top Taufan and Bangun Sutoto.
Both sued the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as defendant 1;UGM Chancellor Prof dr.Ova Emilia as defendant 2;UGM Vice Chancellor Prof.Dr.Wening as defendant 3, and the National Police as defendant 4.
Responding to the interim decision, the plaintiff’s attorney, Muhammad Taufiq, said he was happy that this case would continue to the evidentiary stage.
“I consider the Solo District Court’s decision to reject (the Defendant’s) exception and continue the lawsuit until it is proven, this is extraordinary progress,” said Taufiq to the media crew.
Contacted separately, Jokowi’s attorney, YB Irpan, said that his party accepted the decision of the panel of judges.
“We respect the interim decision which states that the Solo District Court has the authority to examine and adjudicate this case, and we will participate in further examinations,” said Irpan.
