Later, the body will be transferred to a hearse to be taken to the Imogiri Cemetery Complex, DIY.
Quoting the official website of the DIY Culture Service, the Imogiri Tomb Complex or Pajimatan Imogiri is the burial ground for kings and the extended family of the Islamic Mataram Dynasty.
The complex is divided into three large groups, namely the group of tombs of the Kings of Mataram Islam, the group of tombs of the Kings of the Yogyakarta Sultanate, and the group of tombs of the Kings of Kasunanan Surakarta.
The King of the Surakarta Palace, Sinuhun Pakubuwono XIII Hangabehi, died at the age of 77 on Sunday (2/11).
Previously, the Bantul Police asked motorists to avoid the PB XIII funeral motorcade route.
The group’s travel route from Bantul to get to the Imogiri grave is Jalan Raya Janti (Blok O), Ketandan, Karangturi, Gondowulung, Jalan Imogiri Timur to Pajimatan, Imogiri.
Motorists are asked to look for alternative routes to avoid traffic jams and also support the smooth running of PB XIII’s funeral procession in Imogiri.
