steam engine explosion
on Tuesday (18/11) evening, resulting in two customers being injured.
One of the customers who was a victim of the explosion, Memed, said that at that time he came to wash and pick up the clothes he had finished working on.

When he looked for his clothes, he said, he couldn’t find his clean clothes.Then, the two laundry employees went inside to search further.
“That’s where it happened, it exploded. I don’t know what exploded, I just heard the boom,” said Memed in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The loud explosion sound was thought to have come from the steam engine overheating.The explosion destroyed part of the building’s roof and damaged the laundry machine and rolling door.
He also admitted that he had helped one of the customers who was also in the laundry to quickly get away, because he was afraid that the fire would spread after the explosion.
However, he admitted that he did not know whether the laundry employee was safe or not, because he was worried that there would be further explosions at the scene.
“The explosion was felt in my stomach. I thought my stomach was perforated because of the explosion,” said Memed.
“I was in the front position, there was no way I could go inside (to check on the laundry staff). I had a wound in my stomach,” he continued.
Meanwhile, a laundry worker named Dian said that the steam engine made an unusual sound moments before it exploded.
“I was next door, I just heard a very loud explosion,” said Dian.
He added that one mother had to be taken to hospital because she was injured in the explosion.
“One person was injured and has been taken to hospital. I don’t know where the injury is because I couldn’t see it,” said Dian.
