Head of the BNPB Data and Information Center, Abdul Muhari, reported an increase in the number of deaths due to
flood
flash and landslides in
Aceh
, North Sumatra and West Sumatra to 1,106 people.Meanwhile, 175 people were still declared missing as of Monday (22/12).
“As of today, the recapitulation of the total number from 1,090 on Saturday and Sunday, increased by 16 people. So the total as of today, is 1,106 people,” explained Muhari in a press conference broadcast on YouTube BNPB, Monday (22/12).
With details of the death toll per province, Aceh increased to 477 people, North Sumatra the death toll rose to 369 people.Meanwhile, in West Sumatra, the death toll reached 260 people.

Meanwhile, for victims who are still on the wanted list as of today, Monday (22/12) there were 10 fewer names to 175 people.
“Then for the list of names that are still being sought, this has decreased by 10 people, so the number of our brothers and sisters who are still being searched is 175 people,” said Muhari.
Then for the number of refugees, today it is 502,570 people, a decrease from yesterday, Saturday (20/12) 510,528 people.
“Meanwhile, the total for evacuees is 502,570 people as of today,” said Muhari.
With details on the number of refugees for each province, Aceh is still the province with the most refugees with 473,273 refugees, North Sumatra 17,759 refugees, and West Sumatra 11,574 refugees.
Muhari said that in the last week the number of evacuees had decreased significantly, because most had returned to their homes and some were staying at relatives’ homes outside the disaster area.
For the recovery process, especially areas that are still in emergency response status, the focus will be on five priority aspects in the emergency response phase, namely seeking help, fulfilling logistics distribution, restoring road access.Then restore communication access, and fulfill the energy sector, in this case electricity and fuel.
