Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), South Kalimantan, Tri Taruna Fariadi denied that he hit a KPK officer when he was about to be arrested in a sting operation (

) last December 18.
This was conveyed by Tri Taruna when he surrendered himself to the Corruption Eradication Commission today.

I was hit once,” said Tri Taruna when questioned about this allegation, at the Red and White Building, Jakarta, Monday (22/12).

At the KPK’s Red and White Building, Tri Taruna’s surrender was accompanied by two TNI personnel and officers from the Attorney General’s Office.They arrived at around 12.50 WIB.
Tri Taruna was immediately taken to the 2nd floor of the red and white building for an examination.
Confirmed separately, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo confirmed that his party had accepted the surrender of Tri Taruna, who was also supervised by the Attorney General’s Office.
“It’s true, it has been handed over from the Attorney General’s Office. Next, an examination will be carried out immediately,” said Budi when confirmed via written message, Monday.
“This is also a form of mutual support between the Corruption Eradication Commission and the Attorney General’s Office in handling cases of suspected criminal acts of corruption,” he continued.
Previously, based on the Corruption Eradication Commission’s statement at a press conference, Saturday (20/10) morning, Tri Taruna was said to have resisted by crashing his car into a KPK officer.He managed to escape when he was about to be caught.
The legal process against Tri Taruna is related to the alleged extortion case.
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also named the Head of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Albertinus Parlinggoman Napitupulu, and the Head of the Intelligence Section of the HSU District Prosecutor’s Office, Asis Budianto, as suspects.
Both of them have been detained at the KPK State Detention Center (Rutan) for the first 20 days starting from 19 December 2025 to 8 January 2026.
The suspects are suspected of violating Article 12 letter e, Article 12 letter f of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor)

In the OTT which started with a public complaint, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested 21 people, 6 of whom were taken to Jakarta for questioning.Apart from Kajari and Head of HSU Intel, the rest of them still have witness status.

After serving as Kajari HSU in August 2025, Albertinus allegedly received cash flows of at least IDR 804 million, directly or through intermediaries, namely Asis and Tri Taruna and other parties.
The receipt of the money came from Albertinus’ alleged extortion of a number of regional officials at HSU, including the Education Service, Health Service, Public Works Service (PU), and Regional General Hospital (RSUD).
“In the period November-December 2025, from this request, APN (Albertinus) allegedly received a cash flow of IDR 804 million which was divided into two intermediary clusters,” said Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the Corruption Eradication Commission Asep Guntur Rahayu in a press conference at his office, Jakarta, Saturday (20/18) morning.
