The following is a synopsis of Frankenstein (2025).
The story of Frankenstein by Guillermo del Toro is known to be more faithful to the adaptation of the previous novel by Mary Shelley.
The story centers on Dr.Victor Frankenstein (Oscar Isaac), a brilliant but selfish scientist who is obsessed with conquering death and creating new life.

A Danish ship on an expedition to the North Pole gets stuck in Arctic ice.The ship’s crew, led by Captain Anderson (Lars Mikkelsen), finds the mortally wounded Baron Victor Frankenstein and brings him aboard.
They are instead attacked by creatures with superpowers whose wounds can regenerate.Victor explains he is the creature’s creator, and recounts the events leading up to its creation.
Victor’s mother died giving birth to his younger brother, William (Felix Kammerer).His younger brother became their father’s favorite child.
Disillusioned by his abusive father and mourning his beloved mother, Victor is determined to overcome death and grow into a brilliant and arrogant surgeon.
However, he was fired from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh after reanimating a corpse.
In the midst of that situation, arms dealer Henrich Harlander (Christoph Waltz) offers Victor unlimited funds and an abandoned tower to experiment with.Victor asks William for help building his laboratory.
Through a series of experiments, he succeeded in bringing The Creature to life from a collection of body parts.The way to bring a dead person back to life is through the process of mutilating the body, sewing and installing bolts.
Instead of becoming a masterpiece, his creation, which later became known as Frankenstein’s Monster (Jacob Elordi), turned into a tragic figure who was hated and feared.
Frankenstein includes Guillermo del Toro’s long-term collaboration with Netflix, following Pinocchio, the Cabinet of Curiosities series, the animated films Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans, and Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia.
According to reports, Guillermo del Toro has been developing the Frankenstein project for some time and always wanted to make a film centered on the classic story.
Frankenstein (2025) opens November 7 on Netflix.
