The following is a synopsis of Keeper.
A year into their romantic relationship, a doctor named Malcolm wants to invite his girlfriend, Liz, who is a painter, on holiday to enjoy a weekend together in a quiet village.
They then found a cabin located in the middle of the forest.They rated the cabin as perfect to stay in during their vacation together.
During a romantic dinner, the two of them suddenly have the arrival of Malcolm’s annoying cousin, Darren.Darren didn’t come alone either.He brought his girlfriend, Minka, who had difficulty speaking English.
Malcolm is annoyed by the arrival.Moreover, he found that the cake they got from the cabin owner didn’t taste good.Malcolm already told Liz about the cake, but Liz still ate the cake.
Over time, Liz began to feel supernatural disturbances.He saw the image of a woman covered in blood screaming, and a pregnant woman who looked exactly like him.Not only that, when he ate the cake, he found a piece of a human finger in it.
The next morning, Malcolm said he suddenly had to go back to town because there was a patient.But he promised to return that evening.
Liz, who felt lonely being left alone in the cabin in the middle of the forest, called her friend Maggie.To Maggie, Liz suspects that Malcolm may already have a wife and is cheating on her.
Amidst the suspicions, Liz’s harassment grew louder.The excitement provoked Darren to come.Liz hesitated, and then accepted the help.Unexpectedly, Darren experienced a tragic incident from an invisible force in the cabin.
Keeper is a folk horror film directed by Osgood Perkins after working on the previous films Longlegs (2024) and The Monkey (2025), with a script written by Nick Lepard.
Keeper is the third collaboration between Neon and Perkins after Longlegs and The Monkey.This film was shot in its entirety when work on The Monkey was delayed due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike. Keeper and The Monkey were completed simultaneously in July 2024.
This film, which was made with a budget of US$ 6 million, stars Eden Weiss, Tess Degenstein, Erin Boyes, Claire Friesen, Christin Park, and Gina Vultaggio.Keeper is showing in cinemas from November 21, 2025.
