This decision was read out by MKD Deputy Chairman Adang Daradjatun in the plenary session on Wednesday (5/11).
“Asking the secretary general to cut the DPR RI recess budget to 22 points,” said Adang.

He emphasized that this decision is final and binding and must be implemented immediately by the Secretary General of the DPR.
Adang explained that this step was taken as a form of MKD supervision of the 2025 recess funds to prevent potential violations of the code of ethics and misuse of the budget.
“Given the dynamics that occur regarding recess funds carried out by members in 2025, MKD feels it is necessary to carry out supervision and respond to dynamics in society,” he said.
So, how much is the recess fund for DPR members now?
Before the MKD decision, the issue of increasing recess funds had already been in the public spotlight.Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that the recess funds for DPR members for the 2024-2029 period per recess period reached IDR 702 million.This amount has almost doubled from the 2019-2024 period which amounted to IDR 400 million.
“Then there was a change in the index increase and the number of recess points, causing it (to rise) to IDR 702 million,” said Dasco, Saturday (11/10).
According to Dasco, the increase was due to the increase in the number of visiting points as well as adjustments to the cost index, and will officially take effect in May 2025.
Previously, there was a plan to increase recess funds again to IDR 756 million per recess period in August 2025. However, this plan was canceled following the wave of demonstrations from 25-31 August 2025.
“We also didn’t approve these funds, including the cancellation of the housing allowance, we also didn’t agree with the additional points,” said Dasco.
Until now, there has been no official statement regarding the amount of recess funds for DPR members after the MKD decision which cut visiting points to 22 points.This means that even though visiting points have been reduced, the amount of recess funds received by members, including Uya Kuya cs, has not yet been announced in detail.
