“Including those who die, we help. This has nothing to do with allowances, it is assistance because they have been hit by a disaster,” said the General Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah.
Mu’ti said that the distribution of aid was based on the results of data collection on teachers affected by disasters that had been collected by his ministry.
“The numbers (recipients) are still dynamic,” he said.
However, said Mu’ti, the scheme for distributing aid to teachers will still be discussed further with the Ministry of Finance.
“Later we will discuss it again with the Ministry of Finance, when we have it, we will convey it,” said Mu’ti.
Meanwhile, citing Antara, the Ministry of Basic Education has distributed 2,873 emergency classroom units to support the continuity of temporary learning, 141,335 student learning equipment packages which include books, stationery, bags, uniforms and shoes.
Apart from that, there are also 16,239 family equipment packages to support the basic needs of education unit residents during the emergency response and evacuation period spread across three provinces affected by floods and landslides.
