Anutin Charnvirakul apologized and admitted he had failed to overcome the problem
flood
flash that hit a number of provinces in the country.
Anutin’s apology came when he outlined a recovery plan for flood-affected areas on Saturday (29/11).He also acknowledged the government’s shortcomings in dealing with the disaster.

reported that PM Anutin had apologized for “the state’s failure to protect flood victims, promising to improve it.”

During a visit to the Hat Yai flood-affected area, Anutin also admitted that he had apologized to the community.
“Because the government is unable to take care of and protect them,” Anutin was quoted as saying

Furthermore, Anutin said the government would provide compensation to those affected by this week’s flood.
The Thai PM also outlined additional relief measures including debt deferrals and interest-free short-term loans for businesses and home renovations.
He said each resident would receive a loan of up to 100 thousand baht without interest for six months.
Government spokesman Siripong Angkasakulkiat also said the Thai kingdom would donate 100 million baht or around Rp. 52 billion to Hat Yai Hospital which was badly damaged by flooding.
As many as 12 provinces in Thailand were hit by floods due to heavy rain for days.
Thailand’s Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Agency reported that more than 1.4 million households and 3.8 million residents were affected by the floods.
To date, the death toll from this disaster in Thailand has reached 170 people.
The scale of the floods and the death toll sparked widespread criticism of the government under Anutin.
The opposition party, Pheu Thai, accused Anutin of repeatedly failing to manage the crisis.They also warned that the PM could lose his position due to flooding.
