Anutin Charnvirakul officially dissolved parliament on Friday (12/12).
The official dissolution was carried out after the approval of the King of Thailand Maha Vajiralongkorn through a Royal Thai Gazette decree, as well as paving the way for an accelerated election schedule.

“The People’s Representative Council is dissolved to hold new general elections for members of the Council,” reads the decree published in the Royal Gazette, quoted from

PM Anutin’s decision to dissolve parliament came when Thailand was again involved in war with Cambodia on the border.
The armed clash, which has been going on for four days, has left 20 people dead and 200 others injured.
Thai government spokesman Siripong Angkasakulkiat said that the dissolution of parliament was carried out after an agreement was not reached with the largest group in parliament, the opposition People’s Party.

Thai King Maha Vajiralongkorn passed a decree as announced in the Royal Gazette on Friday, paving the way for accelerated elections in accordance with the law, namely within the next 45 to 60 days.
Thai politics fell into chaos when the border conflict with Cambodia erupted again.The conflict, which has been going on for four days, has killed 20 people and injured 200 others.
Anutin told reporters on Wednesday that the dissolution of parliament would have no impact on Thai military operations along the border.Gunfire has occurred at more than a dozen locations on the border, some of which involved heavy artillery fire.
