Qorin
is back with his second film. The film, which currently stars Fedi Nuril, still raises and inserts social issues in the horror story shown, just like the first one.

Scriptwriter Lele Laila said that choosing a bullying case with men as victims, and focusing on the relationship between father and son, could give the audience a new perspective. He admitted that the beginning of the story was not about that.
“There are words like this, ‘Isn’t it true that the victims are always women? Men can be victims too.'”So it was like that was something that made me finally, okay = immediately took the whiteboard, straight away, okay, crossed everything out until finally I came up with an idea about this,” said Lele Laila in Jakarta on Monday (8/12).
“So in the end we tried to mix the horror with that, but we also talked about how men can be victims, uh, that there is bullying here. There is a father struggling, the love of a father for his son.”

Director Ginanti Rona also ensured that Qorin 2 still has the same breath as the first film even though it raises different social issues.According to him, these differences broaden and deepen the Qorin universe.
“Actually, it’s still the same universe as Qorin. But now how can we make the Qorin universe wider in terms of production on a larger scale. Then also the depth of the story is the most important thing,” said Ginanti.
“Not only making a horror film that only focuses on the tension, but also what is more important is the humans behind it,” he explained.
Producer Sunil Samtani emphasized his commitment to maintaining horror quality while touching on social issues in his second film Qorin.
“We still maintain the horror, the jump scares, and all the gore. And in terms of level, intensity, quality, gore, we have increased everything from the first,” said Sunil Samtani.
Qorin 2 tells the story of Makmur (Fedi Nuril), a father who does not want to remain silent after his only child becomes a victim of violence and bullying.
Makmur ultimately sought justice in his own way after failing to get it from the right path, namely reporting to the authorities.
This film is labeled D17+ or for adult audiences aged 17 years and over.Qorin 2 also has scenes that have the potential to be triggering or make the audience uncomfortable.
Qorin 2 opens December 11 in cinemas.
