A total of 153 residents
Palestine
mysteriously deported to
South Africa
(South Africa) last Thursday (13/11), and was trapped for 12 hours on the plane before being allowed to get off.
South African border police had detained passengers on the plane because they did not have departure stamps from Israel in their passports.
“[The passengers] did not have the usual departure stamps in their passports,” the South African Border Management Authority (BMA) said on Thursday evening, quoted by Al Jazeera.

The passengers also did not indicate how long they intended to stay in South Africa or provide accommodation addresses.
Hundreds of Palestinians were initially refused entry after failing immigration tests and considering that not a single passenger had expressed an intention to apply for asylum.
However, the South African Ministry of Home Affairs finally allowed the passengers to leave the plane after the humanitarian organization Gift of the Givers was ready to accommodate them.
“Given that Palestinians are eligible for 90-day visa-free travel to South Africa, they have been processed as usual and are required to comply with all entry requirements,” MBA continued.
The plane landed on Thursday (13/11) at around 08.00 at OR Tambo International Airport. The airline transported 153 Palestinians using a chartered plane.
Of the total passengers, 130 Palestinians entered South Africa, while the rest were transferred to other countries.According to the AFP report, the plane was operated by South African airline, Global Airways, and transited in Nairobi, Kenya.
Responding to this incident, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa instructed the authorities to carry out an investigation.
“These are people from Gaza who were somehow mysteriously put on a plane that passed through Nairobi and arrived here,” Ramaphosa said.
He then said, “We certainly need to look at their origins, where they started, the reason they were brought here is because they don’t have any documentation.”
This kind of incident is apparently not the first time.On October 28, a plane carrying 176 Palestinians landed in Johannesburg. However, some passengers were transferred to other countries.
“The families of the first group told us that other family members would soon arrive on the second plane, and no one knew about the plane,” said Gift of the Givers founder, Imtiaz Sooliman.
“The people are completely devastated after two years of genocide,” he added.
Based on assessments of those arriving in South Africa, Sooliman said Israel appeared to be expelling people from Gaza.Israel, he continued, sent Gazans using chartered planes without putting a stamp in their passports.
“Israel deliberately did not stamp these poor people’s passports to aggravate their suffering in a foreign country,” Sooliman said.
So far, there has been no official explanation regarding Palestinians allegedly being deported to South Africa. However, there are a number of questions about the beginning of this process.
How were Gazans expelled from their homeland?
On social media, there are links advertised on various platforms called Al-Majd Europe. In a survey, Palestinians fill in their name, where they work and their destination.
According to reports, they received a call from one of the people working for Al-Majd Europe. The Palestinian was then asked to go to the bus stop in Gaza City. The bus then headed to the Karem Abu Salem intersection.
The Palestinian Embassy in South Africa also spoke out about this trip.
“[The trip] was organized by an unregistered and misleading organization that is exploiting the tragic humanitarian conditions of our people in Gaza,” according to the Palestinian Embassy.
“[They] defrauded families, collected money from them, and facilitated their travel in a disorganized and irresponsible manner.”
One of the Israeli media, Haaretz, also reported on the expulsion of Gazans from their homeland.According to the media, there is an Israeli-Estonian organization that gives US$ 2,000 to Palestinians to be willing to board charter flights.
The plane was flown to various countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and South Africa.
The organization was founded in Germany and has offices in East Jerusalem.Their operations are also supported by consulting firms registered in Estonia.
Haaretz understands that the Directorate of Voluntary Migration in the Ministry of Defense referred the organization to the Israel Migration Service to coordinate the departure of the Gaza residents.
