He admitted that the pressure had even been present since the first number of viewers for Rather Laen was announced and continued to be felt while working on the sequel.

“The most pressing thing for creators is how this can make people move on from the first time. Even if it’s compared, that’s fine,” said Muhadkly Cho at a press conference in Jakarta, Thursday (20/11).
“So, for us who are creating pressure, how can we at least match what we have done before,” he explained.
This then made the creative team need more time to develop the story.Ernest Prakasa as producer revealed that the first draft of the sequel scenario had only been completed three months after searching for ideas.

Despite these efforts, Ernest admitted that he was realistic about the target number of viewers for Rather Laen 2. He realized that the fantastic box office record for the first film was “a miracle that is difficult to repeat.”
“But when asked how many viewers there were, we always felt that yesterday’s figure was not a reasonable number, yes. So, it’s not like a miracle can happen every time,” said Ernest.
“When it comes to 9 million [viewers], I’m sure it won’t be achieved. That’s too, too, what, isn’t it? It’s not something that Ernest said earlier, it’s not something that’s easy to repeat, that’s how it is, if it’s 9 million,” said Acho.
“We are only half happy, thank God,” concluded Ernest.
Rather Laen: Light Up My Panty!featuring a new adventure for the comic quartet, Boris Bokir, Bene Dion, Indra Jegel, Oki Rengga, who this time work as detectives who always fail.
They get one last chance to prove themselves by going on an undercover mission at a mysterious nursing home.
Their mission is to hunt down a murder fugitive who is hiding among the elderly.The disguise of Bene, Boris, Jegel, and Oki in the orphanage triggers various chaos and absurd sitcoms.
Rather Laen: Nyala Pantiku also stars Ariyo Wahab, Priska Baru Segu, Boah Sartika, Chew Kin Wah, Jajang C. Noer, Jarwo Kwat, Egi Fedly, and Tissa Biani.
Rather Laen: Lit My Pantiku is showing in cinemas starting November 27.
