) Hidayat Arsani stated he respected the legal process that ensnared the Deputy Governor of Babel, Hellyana, in connection with the alleged use of fake diplomas.
Hidayat also asked Hellyana to follow the ongoing legal process.

Hidayat emphasized that the suspect designation of the deputy governor had nothing to do with him.Including, he continued, in the nomination process with himself in the 2024 regional elections.
“So this is a legal area that must be implemented. For me, it has nothing to do with me. Because when he nominated deputy governor, he used a high school diploma,” said Hidayat.
“We hope that with this case, this mother can carry out her duties to resolve her legal case at the National Police Headquarters,” he continued.
Previously, the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit named the Deputy Governor of Babel, Hellyana, as a suspect in a case of alleged use of fake diplomas.
“Yes, that’s right (he is a suspect),” said Karo Penmas, National Police Public Relations Division, Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Monday (22/12).
Hellyana was named a suspect based on the Decree regarding the Determination of Suspect Number: S.Tap/S-4/104/XII/2025/Dittipidum/Bareskrim dated 17 December 2025.
Hellyana was charged with the alleged criminal act of forgery of letters and/or forgery of authentic certificates and/or use of academic degrees which were allegedly incorrect as intended in Article 263 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 264 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 93 of Law Number 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education and/or Article 69 of Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System.
