Acting Head of Housing, Settlements, Housing, Settlement and Land Services (Diskimrum) Indramayu Regency, Krisdiantoro, spoke about the damage to the statue.He explained that the Soekarno statue had been damaged since Thursday (11/13) afternoon.
According to Krisdiantoro, the damage occurred after the statue was crushed by a tent used at the Part Time PPPK SK handover event in the square.He explained that the tent collapsed due to strong winds and ended up hitting the Soekarno statue.
“At that time there was an inauguration of the Part-Time PPPK. We don’t know why until Thursday afternoon the tent had not been removed. Until Thursday afternoon there was a wind incident and it finally collapsed and hit the statue,” he said, Tuesday (18/11), quoted from

Krisdiantoro said the statue was built by the Indramayu Regency Kimrum Service in 2023.According to him, the Soekarno statue was made using copper.
“The material is made of copper. Previously it was built by the Kimrum Service in 2023,” he said.
According to Krisdiantoro, his party will immediately repair the Soekarno statue.Currently the statue of Soekarno has been temporarily removed, as has the statue of Mohammad Hatta.
“For now, both of them will be removed. Because it’s a Soekarno-Hatta pair,” he said.
Krisdiantoro assessed that repairs to the statue will be carried out by the same craftsman so that the result matches the original shape.
