Attorney General’s Office
(AGO) banned the President Director of PT Djarum Victor Rachmat Hartono regarding the investigation into alleged corruption in tax payments for the 2016-2020 period.
The ban was officially imposed along with four other names, but was later revoked after Victor was assessed as cooperative during the legal process.

Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, emphasized that the revocation was carried out at the request of investigators.
“It is true that the investigator in question has requested a retraction because according to the investigator in question he is cooperative,” he said, Saturday (29/11).

Prior to the revocation, the Minister of Immigration and Corrections (Imipas) Agus Andrianto confirmed that Victor was included in the list of five people who had been banned at the request of the AGO.The ban is valid from Thursday (14/11) for the next six months or on 14 May 2026.
Apart from Victor, the other four names are former Director General of Taxes Ken Dwijugiasteadi (KD), Karl Layman as a young tax inspector at the Directorate General of Taxes, Ning Dijah Prananingrum as Head of KPP Madya Dua Semarang, and Heru Budijanto Prabowo as a tax consultant.
The ban was proposed by the AGO in conjunction with investigators searching a number of locations related to the case, including the residence of tax officials.
Alleged bribery: setting tax payments to be lower
In this case, the Attorney General’s Office suspects that there was a practice of collusion between employees of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and taxpayers.Anang Supriatna explained that the agreement was carried out to reduce the burden of paying company taxes.
“He has compensation, to reduce it. If this means there is an agreement and there is a gift. It’s a bribe, to reduce it for a specific purpose,” Anang told reporters this week.
In return for the tax reduction, taxpayers or companies are suspected of making deposits to unscrupulous tax officials.

“Yes, there are more than five, maybe eight points. Overall, yes,” he said at the Attorney General’s Office, Tuesday (15/11).
From a number of locations, investigators confiscated various documents related to tax cases, one Toyota Alphard unit, and two large motorbikes (moge).
“From several places around Jabodetabek… it was obtained that vehicles and two-wheelers were confiscated, apart from documents,” said Anang.

Responding to the ban on its boss, PT Djarum stated that it respected the ongoing investigation.Corporate Communications Manager PT Djarum Budi Darmawan emphasized that his party would follow all procedures.
