Ozzy Osbourne
admitted that the late metal music legend was hospitalized two weeks before his final performance with Black Sabbath in Birmingham, England, on July 5 2025.
They told this in their podcast The Osbournes on Wednesday (12/11).Ozzy’s wife, Sharon, said Ozzy was in intensive care in hospital and the family hid this from anyone.

“The story, I don’t think you even know, we treated him in hospital and we were very afraid that people would find out,” said the 73-year-old woman.
“So we had all the security and the hospital… the hospital was amazing, it really was,” Sharon said.”The people at the front desk were told ‘no one, if they ask for Ozzy, he’s not here’. ‘No one is allowed up’. That kind of thing.”
“The hospital even had photos of all of us who were allowed on board, and their names. Once a guy came in and said ‘I want to meet John Osbourne’ [Ozzy’s real name]. So yeah of course you can’t, [the hospital said] ‘who are you?’and he said ‘I am his brother’,” explained Sharon.
“Ozzy’s sister and brother didn’t know. So I sent security and said ‘find out who this person is, he must be from the media’,” he said as reported

Apparently, they later found out that the man was the brother of another person named John Osbourne who was being treated at the hospital.Osbourne’s family said they were devastated by the incident.
However, in this broadcast, Ozzy’s family did not reveal why the man who died at the age of 76 was hospitalized ahead of his final performance with Black Sabbath.
The family said they were aware that the Dark Lord’s health had deteriorated greatly.However, Ozzy insisted on continuing to perform with Black Sabbath.
“It wasn’t like we were forcing him, pushing him out there to do this show,” said Jack, Ozzy’s youngest son.”Dad insisted… he was in control of the show. He said he knew exactly what he wanted. Yes, and he was determined to do it.”

Ozzy Osbourne died after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease which was announced in 2020. The family announced the sad news.

Prince of Darkness appeared at the Back to the Beginning concert which was also Black Sabbath’s farewell concert.The performance was witnessed by around 42 thousand spectators who gathered at the Villa Park stadium, Birmingham.
As the frontman of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne is at the forefront of the heavy metal scene.When he appeared on the theatrical stage, he once bit the head of a bat.
He then earned the nickname Prince of Darkness, making him a controversial figure.
