, The Life of a Showgirl, made new history on Billboard’s album and popular songs charts, a month after its release on October 3, 2025.
The album and its lead single, The Fate of Ophelia, have both topped the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 album charts for four consecutive weeks since their release.

This makes Swift the first musician in history to debut and stay at number one on both music charts simultaneously and stay for a whole month.
In the fourth week of release, the album The Life of a Showgirl was in first place with sales of 146 thousand album equivalent units in the United States.
This achievement makes Swift’s 12th album the second album in 2025 to stay at the top of the standings for the first four weeks.
Previously, Morgan Wallen’s album I’m the Problem dominated the album charts for the first eight weeks and 12 weeks overall.
Meanwhile, the single The Fate of Ophelia still remains at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to 29 million official streams, 55 million radio plays and sales of 22 thousand songs.
Apart from Ophelia, two other Swift songs from the album made it into the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, namely Opalite which was in fourth position, and Elizabeth Taylor in eighth position.
