The South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Provincial Government medical team said residents were affected

Sumatra
starting to suffer from respiratory problems or acute respiratory infections (ARI), skin diseases, and headaches.
“Services were provided to 129 patients, the majority of whom complained of ISPA, skin diseases and headaches. The team also carried out minor surgical procedures such as abscess drainage and nail extraction on infected fingers,” said South Sulawesi Health Head, Evi Mustikawati Arifin in a written statement, Saturday (5/12).
Evi said the team in West Sumatra treated flood victims at three evacuation points in Maninjau, Tanjung Raya District.

“The journey to the location was very difficult due to landslides and the road was covered in mud, so the team had to walk while carrying medical equipment,” he said.
Meanwhile in North Sumatra, said Evi, the team provided health services at the Hinai District post.
“The condition of the road, which is still partially flooded, has hampered the team’s mobilization, but the service continues to run, serving 102 patients with various complaints such as ISPA,
febrile
,
dyspepsia
, up to
low back pain
,” he explained.
According to Evi, minor surgical procedures include:

In addition, teams stationed in Aceh treated victims in three disaster areas.They collaborated with a team from Hasanuddin University (Unhas) to carry out operations on victims who needed orthopedic treatment.
“To date, services have been provided to 38 pediatric patients, 104 adult patients and 3 trauma patients who were planned to undergo orthopedic surgery,” he said.
The South Sulawesi medical team in Aceh, said Evi, was also tasked with evacuating patients to referral hospitals for further treatment.
