The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) estimates that the peak flow of homecoming during the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 holidays will fall on 19 and 20 December 2025.

For this reason, he said that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) had made various preparations ahead of the Christmas and New Year transportation period, including by holding roadworthiness checks (ramp checks) on vehicles that would operate and checking the readiness of bus departure terminals.

“The hope is that the entire fleet operating at the four AKAP terminals in Jakarta, namely Pulo Gebang Terminal, Kampung Rambutan, Kalideres and Tanjung Priok, will meet the technical requirements and be roadworthy,” said Syafrin.
Apart from that, he continued, the DKI Provincial Government through the Health Service, Police and TNI is also preparing Christmas and New Year posts at bus departure terminals.
Apart from the four main terminals, namely Pulo Gebang, Kalideres, Kampung Rambutan, and Tanjung Priok, the DKI Transportation Agency is also preparing three aid terminals, namely Muara Angke Terminal, Grogol Terminal, and Lebak Bulus Terminal to serve the public during the Christmas and New Year transportation period.
Meanwhile, regarding the number of officers on standby, a total of 2,500 personnel from the DKI Transportation Agency will be tasked with carrying out arrangements at the terminal and monitoring traffic during the Christmas and New Year transportation period.
“In principle, during the Christmas period (Christmas and New Year), we prepare officers and all infrastructure so that the implementation is safe, secure, comfortable, and the community can carry out these activities smoothly, and of course fulfill aspects of road safety,” said Syafrin.
