intervened to find the whereabouts of three people who were reported missing in the wave of demonstrations of August 25-31 in Jakarta.
The three people who were reported were missing based on complaints reports opened by the commission for missing persons and victims of criminal acts of violence (contrast).
“That we have received this information (three people are still missing) from the social media as well. Of course we from the Jakarta Metropolitan Police have now made a missing complaint post,” said Director of the Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Wira Satya Triputra at a press conference on Monday (9/15).
Wira added that his party had also formed a joint team to find and find the whereabouts of the three people.
“Our steps have also made a joint team to conduct a search, this is still temporary by the process, please hope that you can get positive results,” he said.
Wira also requested public participation to provide information to the police if he knew the whereabouts of these three people.
“We also ask the community to probably if anyone knows and knows the person, please be informed to the hotline number that we have shared, through the announcement at the missing person report post,” he said.
Kontras had previously stated that three people were still declared missing since the demonstration at the end of August in the Capital City.Kontras Coordinator Dimas Bagus Arya said that he had reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, but until now it has not produced results.
The three are Bima Permana Putra, the last to be seen in the Glodok area, West Jakarta, on August 31;And Muhammad Farhan Hamid and Reno Syahputrodwo who were last known to be in Mako Brimob, Kwitang, Central Jakarta, on August 30.
“We have confirmed to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police and several police results are still nil,” Dimas said when contacted on Monday (9/15).
Polda Metro Jaya has also opened a missing complaint post during a series of demonstrations in Jakarta at the end of August.The complaint post was since September 12, 2025.
“Since September 12, we, the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, have formed a missing complaint post and the form of a special team to help the community to find relatives or family who are missing,” said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Edi Suheri at a press conference at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Monday night.
