Central Jakarta Metro Police
named the Main Director of Terra Drone Indonesia with the initials MW as a suspect in connection with the building fire case which killed 22 people.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro explained a number of reasons for naming MW as a suspect.
He said that MW as Managing Director did not create or ensure that there was an SOP for storing dangerous batteries in the building.MW also did not appoint K3 (Occupational Health and Safety) officers.

“Not carrying out safety training. Not providing standard storage space for flammable materials,” said Susatyo in a press conference at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (12/12).
He said that MW as Managing Director also did not provide emergency doors in the building and did not ensure that evacuation routes were functioning.
“As we know, the 22 victims generally died not from direct burns, but as a result of not being able to immediately save themselves and ultimately running out of breath,” he said.
In this case, MW was charged with Article 187 of the Criminal Code, Article 188 of the Criminal Code and Article 359 of the Criminal Code.
A fire broke out at the Terra Drone Building located in Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta (Jakpus) on Tuesday (9/12) afternoon.The fire is thought to have started from a drone battery that caught fire on the 1st floor of the building.
“From the information above, it’s only temporary because the battery, yes, the battery from the drone caught fire. However, because of the fire, currently the laboratory team is still working,” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro to reporters, Tuesday.
This unfortunate incident caused 22 people to die.On Wednesday (10/12), the Kramat Jati Police Hospital succeeded in identifying all the victims.
