Asian currencies are mixed this morning.The Chinese yuan rose 0.03 percent, the Singapore dollar fell 0.02 percent, the Japanese yen fell 0.03 percent, the Thai baht weakened 0.01 percent, the South Korean won rose 0.03 percent, the Hong Kong dollar plus 0.01 percent, the Philippine peso minus 0.12 percent, and the Malaysian ringgit strengthened 0.01 percent.
Likewise, the main currencies of developed countries varied.The British pound strengthened 0.05 percent, the European euro fell 0.01 percent, the Swiss franc minus 0.04 percent, the Australian dollar grew 0.07 percent, and the Canadian dollar rose 0.06 percent.

Doo Financial Futures analyst Lukman Leong said the rupiah was consolidating or flat against the US dollar amid investors waiting and seeing.
“Investors tend to wait and see anticipating a series of important economic data, including US NFP employment data and inflation as well as BI RDG this week,” he said to

He estimates that today the rupiah will move in the range of IDR 16,550 – IDR 16,700 per US dollar.
