British bassist and musician,
Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield
died at the age of 63 years.His brother, Greg, announced the sad news on social media on Thursday (20/11) without stating the cause of death.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the passing of my brother, Gary Mani Mounfield,” wrote Greg in his Facebook post.”Rip Rkid.”

Born on 16 November 1962 in Manchester and known to fans as Mani, Mounfield played on two studio albums by British band The Stone Roses.
The two albums are the debut album with the same name in 1989 and Second Coming (1994).However, he left the band in 1995 and the band disbanded in 1996.
Mani then joined Primal Scream after The Stone Roses.He claims that Primal Scream is one of three other bands he would like to join besides Jesus and Mary Chain and Oasis.
Mounfield is often considered the friendliest member of Roses, both when the band was together and after it broke up.

said The Stone Roses were not very successful on the US pop scene, but managed to enter the Top 10 of Billboard’s Modern Rock charts with Elephant Stone, One Love, Love Spreads, and She Bangs the Drums.
Both of the group’s albums also reached the top 100 in the United States.Other popular songs include Ten Storey Love Song, I Wanna Be Adored, I Am the Resurrection, Made of Stone, All for One, Waterfall, and Begging You.
While with Primal Scream, Mani played bass on the group’s five albums, from Vanishing Point (1997) to Beautiful Future (2008), including the singles Kowalski and Country Girl which entered the Top 10 in the UK.
Mani left Primal Scream in 2011 and rejoined the reunited Stone Roses.The group returned to the UK charts for the first time in 17 years with two non-album singles: All for One and Beautiful Things.

Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield remained with the group led by vocalist Ian Brown and guitarist John Squire until it disbanded again in 2017.
Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield is survived by two children.His wife, Imelda, died in 2023.
