Israel
, but he doesn’t want to accept it yet.
Recently, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has been aggressively inviting the Jewish community in India to live in Israel.

Yaakov also said that the Jewish community in Indonesia had received a similar offer through the agency that manages the Jewish community, not officially from the Israeli government.

Personally, Yaakov has also received offers to move and live in Israel.However, at that time, he refused.
Yaakov feels that he still needs to do a lot to take care of synagogues and Jewish communities in Indonesia.
“I was offered it a long time ago but said from the start that because I still had important things to do, namely taking care of the Synagogue and the Indonesian Jewish Community, I couldn’t do it at this time,” he said.
Currently, Yaakov can only visit Israel to celebrate holidays or important days for followers of the Jewish religion.
“All I can do is visit to celebrate Jewish festivals if I have the opportunity, of course,” he added.
Yaakov is one of the rabbis or religious leaders of the Jewish community in Tondano, North Sulawesi.
Netanyahu plans to bring the Jewish group in India, Bnei Menashe, to Israel.
He said he would bring 1,200 members of the Bnei Menashe community to northern Israel, one of them in Nof HaGalil.
Furthermore, Netanyahu emphasized that the transfer of Indian Jews was important to strengthen Israel’s northern regions, especially the Galilee.
The Galilee is the northern region of Israel which is often the target of attacks by the Lebanese Hezbollah militia group.
Tens of thousands of Israelis have left the area following the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.
