It is known that Cyclone 93S is threatening Bali in the period 11-18 December 2025, where in the last five days alone extreme weather has caused flooding in five districts.
Due to this incident, BPBD Bali asked the public to realize that disasters are no longer to be anticipated in the future, but the time has already come, so they must be prepared with both a prepared bag and information alert.
“So the first thing is of course to calm down, after calming down, then we can look for information. Follow information on weather developments, now each village knows from what time to what time it will rain via the BMKG info application,” said Gede Teja.
BPBD Bali also directs people to understand safe places around where they live, such as those far from rivers, so that when the impact of Cyclone 93S occurs, people can take shelter and immediately contact BPBD.
“BBPD here never takes a day off, always tries to collaborate various forces to respond, including the readiness of equipment, suction equipment, yesterday they also sucked up quite a lot of water, but in the long term we need better infrastructure preparation,” he said.
The seeds of Cyclone 93S are said to be different from the Rosby Wave which caused major flooding in September 2025.What makes it dangerous is the emergence of cyclones when Bali enters the rainy season, so even if it moves away the impact is still dangerous.
However, his party invites the public not to completely blame the extreme weather, but to realize that the environmental carrying capacity is not yet ready, such as not being able to drain water properly or problems with the drainage system and spatial planning issues.
“Yes, it needs to be improved, both old and new drainage, because we can also see that there is rubbish in the drainage, apart from mud there is also cable rubbish, all kinds of things,” said Gede Teja.
