Based on a written statement from the Indonesian Navy, it was explained that the ship was detected when the KRI Bung Hatta was carrying out jarkaplid (Pursuit, Search and Investigation) duties.

The first inspection is carried out on TB vessels.Prima Mulia 06 – TK.Prima Sejati 308 is crewed by 10 Indonesian crew members and is captained by a person with the initials A.
“The ship belonging to PT Prima Mulia Jaya is known to be carrying nickel ore belonging to PT Dwimitra Multiguna Sejahtera (DMS) destined for PT IMIP Morowali,” quoted from a written statement from the Indonesian Navy, Wednesday (26/11).
The next examination targets TB.Nusantara 3303 – Kindergarten.Graham 3303, which was also crewed by 10 Indonesian crew members and was captained by someone with the initials RM.
The ship was carrying a nickel cargo from the same shipper, PT DMS, and aimed to send it to PT IMIP Morowali.
The Indonesian Navy stated that the results of the investigation showed a number of indications of violations committed by the two ships.
These include shipping activities at the PT DMS jetty which has currently been sealed by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) due to misuse of sea space, the movement of ships from the jetty to the anchorage area without being equipped with a Promoting Approval Letter (SPOG), and the absence of the captain when the ship was maneuvering.
“Apart from that, the two ships also did not carry valid ship documents or cargo documents,” said the Indonesian Navy.
These findings are said to violate the laws and regulations regarding Mining and Coal and the laws regarding Shipping.
The two ships were then escorted to Kendari Lanal for in-depth inspection and action according to applicable regulations.
