Muhammad Farhan temporarily stopped operating city transportation or angkot in the area during the long holidays of Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026.
Dedi said the proposal aims to reduce traffic jams.The reason is, Bandung has the potential to be jammed during the year-end holidays.

“If the traffic jam in Bandung City is overrun by tourists (during the Christmas holiday) there will definitely be a lot of cars and there will definitely be a queue. But the solution is one, the officers must be ready because the key is that the traffic jam is usually due to careless parking. Second, there are cars breaking down, so these two things must be monitored,” said Dedi Mulyadi, as quoted by Antara.

Then, Dedi also encouraged Farhan to deal with traffic jams in Bandung City during the Christmas holidays.He proposed that public transportation in Bandung be closed as he did in the Puncak area by providing compensation to the transportation drivers.
“Later, perhaps Bandung City transportation can take a holiday first, hopefully the Mayor’s budget is sufficient for that,” said Dedi.
Responding to potential traffic jams during Christmas, Farhan confirmed that the Bandung City Government would prepare two operational focuses, namely controlling illegal parking and preventing cars from breaking down on the road.
“For Nataru, continuing what the Governor said earlier, from the Transportation Agency we will carry out two operations. One is controlling parking, so we will control all potential illegal parking to the maximum,” said Farhan.
“If a violation occurs, action will be taken immediately. And also to prevent cars breaking down causing traffic jams, we have several cranes which are very good. The cranes just have to be transported like a forklift, we are ready to operate them,” he added.
