The release was signed by the Chair of the LDA, GRAy Koes Murtiyah Wandansari or familiarly known as Gusti Moeng and KGPH Hangabehi, the eldest son of Pakubuwono XIII.

“In terms of leadership succession at the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace, consultation with the extended family is still needed so that implementation is in accordance with customary provisions and national legal provisions,” said the release.
Pakubuwono XIII left behind two sons.His eldest son, KGPH Mangkubumi, was born from his second wife.Meanwhile, KGPH Purbaya was the last child born to his third wife.
In 2022, Pakubuwono XIII appointed Purbaya as crown prince with the title KGPAA Hamangkunagoro Sudibyo Rajaputra Narendra ing Mataram.
In the same year, KGPH Mangkubumi received a promotion from LDA Keraton Surakarta and changed its name to KGPH Hangabehi, the same name as his father.
According to the LDA release, Hangabehi is still trying to communicate with his sister, KGPAA Purbaya.
“Until now the discussions have not been completed,” as written in the release.
