Suspected perpetrator of explosion in
SMAN 72

According to Budi, the injuries suffered by the alleged perpetrator were quite serious, especially on the head, so they required surgery.Currently the alleged perpetrator is in the ICU under strict guard by police officers.
This security is carried out not only to anticipate undesirable things, but also to ensure that the maintenance process runs safely.
“We will definitely be strictly guarded. Not only the perpetrators, we are also guarding the victims, because we hope that more serious fatalities will not occur,” explained Budi.
Apart from that, Budi explained, although the alleged perpetrator’s medical condition is starting to improve, the recovery process must be carried out carefully.
Apart from physical recovery, the team also paid attention to the psychological aspect considering that the perpetrator was still a child.
“We are aware, but recovery must be slow because the injuries are still serious. So we must both pay attention to the physical and medical recovery, including the psychological one concerned,” explained Budi.
Investigators and hospitals coordinate closely with child protection agencies to ensure the treatment process complies with legal procedures for minors.
“We need to convey to all our colleagues that we must work together to safeguard the special rights that must be fulfilled, namely identity protection and special treatment for children in conflict with the law,” he explained.
Despite his status as a child in conflict with the law, the investigation process into the alleged involvement of the alleged perpetrator in the explosion case is still ongoing.
Currently, Densus 88 together with the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya are still investigating the motive behind this incident.
“The motive is still being investigated by Densus 88 and Crime Crimes Polda Metro Jaya. After collecting and analyzing evidence from the crime scene, the results of the search, as well as witness statements, it will be presented in full by the National Police Chief and the Metro Jaya Police Chief,” said Budi.
Budi emphasized that the public was asked not to speculate further before the results of the official investigation were announced.”So there is no bias regarding the motive or incident that occurred,” stressed Budi.
On Friday (7/11) at around 12.15 WIB, an explosion occurred in the area of SMA Negeri 72 Jakarta in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, precisely in the TNI Navy (AL) Kodamar complex.
According to witness statements, the explosion occurred while students and teachers were praying Friday at the mosque at the school.The first explosion was heard while the sermon was in progress, followed by a second explosion which is thought to have come from a different direction.
The explosion caused the victims to suffer various injuries, including burns and injuries caused by debris, and also sparked panic among school residents and the surrounding community.
Based on initial investigations, the perpetrator is suspected to be a student from the school.
The student reportedly experienced bullying, which is thought to be the motive for carrying out this action.At the location, objects that looked like airsoft guns and revolvers were also found, which after examination confirmed that the weapons were toys.
