“It is a great disgrace that the G20 Summit will be held in South Africa. No US government official will attend as long as these human rights violations continue,” Trump said on his social network, Truth Social, quoted

.
Trump also said he looked forward to hosting the 2026 G20 summit in the US, which will be held at his golf resort in Miami, Florida.
Trump’s move revived accusations that white people in South Africa were victims of genocide in that country.Since returning to the White House in January, Trump has repeatedly attacked South Africa.
Trump alleged that Afrikaner people — descendants of South Africa’s first European settlers — were being killed, while their land and farms were being illegally confiscated.
He even showed a video related to the massacre of white farmers in South Africa before South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the White House last May.
Last week, the Trump administration also announced plans to sharply cut the number of refugees admitted annually to the US to just 7,500, the lowest figure in history, with priority given to white South Africans.
Trump also imposed tariffs of 30 percent on South Africa, the highest tariffs in the sub-Saharan Africa region.
Relations between the two countries deteriorated over several issues, including South Africa’s lawsuit against Israel for alleged genocide in Gaza, Palestine at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
