Trump Officially Sues BBC, Demands IDR 166 Trillion in Compensation

officially sued the news agency
BBC
on charges of defamation following the editing of the video of his speech in 2021.
Trump demanded that the British media pay compensation of US $ 10 billion or around Rp. 166 trillion.

reported that Trump’s lawsuit was officially filed on Monday (15/12) in federal court in Miami.Trump asked

awarded damages of US$5 billion each for two claims, namely alleged defamation and violation of Florida’s Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.
Trump previously stated

had “twisted my words” and even alleged the media “used AI or something” in the editing.
Trump’s own lawsuit is related to the documentary

which aired last year before the 2024 US general election (election) on the BBC’s flagship news program “Panorama”.
In the documentary, two parts of Trump’s speech on January 6, 2021 were included
