Donald Trump launched the “Trump Gold Card” visa program, for foreign citizens (WNA) who want to quickly obtain residence permits in the US.
Foreigners interested in this visa program are directed to the Trumpcard.gov website and pay a fee of US$15,000 (around Rp. 250 million) to the Department of Homeland Security for visa processing within a short time.

After going through a background check and selection process, the applicant then pays a “contribution” of US$1 million (around Rp. 16 billion) to obtain a visa similar to a “Green Card”, which allows foreigners to live and work in the US.
“It’s basically a Green Card, but much better. Much stronger, much more solid path,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
“The path is very important. It has to be great people,” added Trump, as reported by Reuters.
US Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, claimed that around 10 thousand people had registered for this visa program during the pre-registration period.He predicted more people would sign up.
“I predict over time we will sell thousands of these visas and raise billions of dollars,” Lutnick said.
Lutnick said this gold card program would bring economic benefits to the US.
He compared that to Green Card holders who he said “on average” earn less than U.S. citizens, and are more likely to have family members who receive government assistance.
Lutnick also said the government would launch a corporate version of the gold card, which would allow companies to obtain express visas for employees they want to employ in the US at a cost of US$2 million (around Rp. 33 billion) per employee.
Since the start of his term, Trump has carried out a series of crackdowns on immigration, deporting hundreds of thousands of people who were in the US illegally, and taking steps to prevent illegal immigration.
The gold card program is said to be Trump’s ploy designed to make money for the US Treasury, and in the same way bring profits to the US.
