, Trump said Washington has more nuclear weapons than any other country.According to him, weapons of mass destruction are capable of destroying the world 150 times over.

“We have enough nuclear weapons to blow up the world 150 times. Russia has a lot of nuclear weapons, China will have more. They have some, but (the US has more),” Trump said.
Trump spoke like this when asked about his statement on October 30 which instructed the US Department of War or Ministry of Defense to immediately begin nuclear tests.
Trump’s instructions were conveyed via social media ahead of his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Busan, South Korea.Trump and Xi are in South Korea to attend a series of events at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit (APEC Summit).
Trump at that time said nuclear weapons tests had to be carried out because other countries had already started doing them.
“Because other countries are testing programs, I have instructed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons equally. That process will begin immediately,” Trump said in a post on his social media Truth Social, Thursday (30/10).
Trump’s statement came after Russian President Vladimir Putin stated on Wednesday (29/30) that his country had successfully launched Poseidon in a test on Tuesday (28/10).The Poseidon is a cross between a torpedo and a nuclear-capable drone, which is believed to be capable of causing tsunamis powerful enough to destroy coastal cities.
In an interview with CBS 60 Minutes, Trump admitted that the reason the US wanted to test nuclear weapons was because Russia had started it.
“The reason I ordered a (nuclear weapons) test was because Russia announced that they would conduct a test. If you pay attention, North Korea is constantly conducting tests. Other countries are also testing. We are the only country that doesn’t do it, and I don’t want to be the only country that doesn’t test (nuclear weapons),” said Trump.
If the US conducts a nuclear weapons test, it would be the first in 30 years.The US has had a moratorium on nuclear explosives testing since 1992.
The last US nuclear test was carried out on September 23, 1992 under the code name “Divider”.Since then, the US has stopped doing so and North Korea is the only country that still carries out nuclear tests.
When asked about this, Trump denied that only Pyongyang had carried out nuclear tests.He emphasized that Russia and China have also done it, it’s just that the public doesn’t know.
“Russia and China are testing (nuclear weapons), but they don’t talk about it. You know, we are an open society. We are different. We talk about it. We have to talk about it, because otherwise you (journalists) will report it. They don’t have journalists who will write about it, but we do,” he concluded.
