Donald Trump
on Monday (17/11) he will speak with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro amid tensions due to the strengthening of the US military.
He also said he would be ‘OK’ with anti-narcotics strikes in Mexico.

According to Trump, Mexico has failed to take firm action against the drug trafficking cartels.
“Would I attack Mexico to stop drugs? OK with me. Whatever we do to stop drugs,” Trump said when asked if he agreed with US anti-narcotics operations in Mexico.
“I’m not saying I’m doing it, but I would be proud. Because we’re going to save millions of lives with it.”
Meanwhile, when he was asked about talks with Maduro, Trump said there would be time to talk and said Maduro was “not good to the United States.”
“At a certain time, I will talk to him (Maduro),” Trump was quoted as saying in the Oval Office

During a question-and-answer session regarding the closure of the deployment of US ground troops in Venezuela, Trump said: “No, I’m not closing that, I’m not going to close anything.”
“We just have to deal with Venezuela,” Trump said.
“They sent hundreds of thousands of people from prison to our country,” he added.
Hours later, Maduro said on his weekly television show that he was ready to meet directly with anyone in the United States.
Trump also asked that US troops in the Caribbean region be increased for drug smuggling cases in various Latin American countries including Venezuela and Mexico.
Now a US Marine unit is holding military exercises in Trinidad and Tobago for the second time in less than a month.
However, the leader of Trinidad and Tobago emphasized that his country would not allow its territory to be used to attack Venezuela.
“The US has NEVER requested our territory for attacks on the Venezuelan people,” Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said in a WhatsApp message to AFP.
“Trinidad and Tobago will not participate in actions that harm the Venezuelan people,” he added.
He also emphasized that the US and Caracas must resolve the conflict through negotiations.
Venezuela accused the US of trying to overthrow the Caracas government with the deployment of military, aircraft carriers, warships and several jets.
Since August, the US has maintained a large military presence in the Caribbean, including about six warships, in the name of cracking down on drug smuggling bound for the US.
A total of 83 people have been killed since September by US forces attacking ships accused of smuggling drugs in international waters.
However, the US has still not provided evidence of people being attacked in the Caribbean or in the eastern Pacific.However, as many as 20 operations involved drug smuggling.
